At the Plant Bat Habitat, we grow over 125 distinct species of Texas Native Plants chosen to ensure that we have blooms and berries throughout the year, delighting bees, butterflies, birds and the Bats alike. This page is frequently updated with current attractions so you know what to look forward to when you visit.

June 2026

Our Texas Wildflowers are still going strong, with Texas Bluebells, Greenthread, Standing Cypress, and Black-eyed Susans blooming profusely. The Halberd Leaf Rosemallows and Rock Roses are looking their best. The Barbados Cherry is laden with bright red cherries. We are serving vanilla and chocolate - aromas only! - Whitebrush and Chocolate Daisy. The rare and exquisite Yellowshow, and the quirky Buttonbush are our standout attractions. Come early if you want to catch the Yellowshow because its flowers close by noon.
